WFH Pro 2 - Standing Desk Frame for DIY
Great desk frame. Easy to assemble and sturdy. The sit stand feature is the best and operates smoothly.
Please forgive the messy desk and cables; I'm still working on getting the workstation together.
I really like this model. I have the 3 stage legs and the speed of raising or lowering is great. Very Sturdy for me at the 46" height. The only thing I would change is not to hold the preset buttons until the proper height is reached. I'd prefer that one click of a preset, the desk would move to the proper height.
Such a solid build I'm not worried that this frame will hold up to years of service.
My wife wanted a sit-stand desk, but we've found the best "bang for your buck" and is customizable to what you want (your own desk top), we went with this model. Speed of the motors is very good for the price and is fairly quiet (going down it's a little louder). The controller can be a little annoying, since it locks when it "goes to sleep"/turns off the display after a little bit, but just hold the lock button for a few seconds, then it comes right to life.
Since it's similar to the one we got for myself beginning of this year, putting it together was a breeze. If you haven't, make sure to go slow and give yourself grace, it's not a cakewalk, but it's honestly not hard. For this model, make sure your desk is at minimum 2 feet deep, since the holders go straight to the edge on my wife's desk, best to go with 2.5 to 3 feet deep table top.
Great sit/stand legs. High quality build with strong, thick metal construction. Came well packed with no damage. Assembly took maybe 20 minutes and all pre-tapped holes were well aligned. A couple motor mount screws in one leg were not completely tightened, so ensure you inspect those under the plastic covers.
I have a butcher block island counter top (72” x 39”) weighing 115 lbs plus about 40 lbs of other equipment and so far these legs have no problem moving all that weight. I’m 5’10” and at standing height this table is very sturdy. Programming is simple.
I still have some cable management work to do, but this is much better than my previous setup on a Lifetime folding table. The work at home situation will likely continue well into 2021 so this setup will pay for itself. I would not hesitate to buy again.
I am extremely impressed with the desk. The quality of materials, the ease of assembly, the size of the controller box, the strength of all the parts all make this a great choice. I don't usually leave reviews but was very impressed. BTW, the controller box has smaller dimensions than the parallel bars that connect the two legs. This allows the box to fit nicely where it should sit. Great design. I used an existing tabletop that is very heavy. Including the computer and 49-inch monitor, it handles the weight with ease. For wire management, I used the 51-inch wire management carrier on the back and would highly recommend as well.
